Wayne Davis

May 12, 1954 - May 6, 2021

Wayne Wilson Davis was born to the late Frank and Joyce Davis on May 12, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He departed this earthly life after a brave battle with cancer on Thursday, May 6, 2021. He was the second of four children. He always said Scott, Carol, and Cory were his best friends.

On July 30, 1994, Wayne had the joy of marrying his wife, Beth Johnson and expanded his newly combined family to include his three “Utah kids” Megan, Marci and Shawn with his three “Arizona kids,” Veronica, Joey, and Kenny.

Wayne loved the outdoors and was an amazing fisherman. He loved fishing and sharing his unlimited knowledge with others and making sure everyone had a good time. Wayne was an avid sports fan and was especially joyed to see the Chicago Cubs finally win the World Series. He also enjoyed watching the University of Utah, the Utah Jazz, and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Whether Wayne was raising his own children, interacting with his nieces or nephews, or his grandchildren, kids and dogs alike gravitated toward Wayne. He always took time to meet them on their level, to interact and tease, and to teach through example.

Family and friends are forever thankful for having Wayne in our lives. His example of caring for others and loving his family will be remembered and cherished. We are blessed to have had him in our lives.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 10th, at 1:00 pm at the Springville City Cemetery, Springville, Utah.
