Steven C. Jenkins 1953 ~ 2008 Steven Curtis Jenkins was born September 21, 1953 in Salt Lake City to Gail and LaVerne Jenkins. He passed away on December 11, 2008 and is finally at peace.Steve lived the majority of his life in the Canyon Rim area of Salt Lake City. He attended Churchill Junior High and is a graduate of Skyline High School. He married Debbie Vaughan in 1988. They enjoyed camping and spending time with their dogs Meekers, Abby and Lexie. When Steve wasn't working, he enjoyed outdoor activities. In his younger years, he played on the little-league all-star baseball team. He enjoyed competitive sports. He was an avid snow skier and performed aerial stunt skiing. Later in life, he enjoyed riding his bicycles, golfing and fishing. Steve was known as a hard worker and believed in giving an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. He is survived by his wife Debbie; his parents Gail and LaVerne Jenkins; two brothers and two sisters: Craig (Lorna), David, Vickie, Peggy (Keith) and a large extended family. Funeral services will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah, on Monday December 15th at 12 noon with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Holladay City Cemetery, 4900 Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Utah, Alcoholics Anonymous or a charity of your choice.
