1954 ~ 2015
Steven Lee Richards, age 60, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 2, 2015 due to hypertension leading to heart failure.
He was born February 19, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah where he lived throughout his life. He is well known throughout the valley for his skill and artistry as a master painter and general contractor. He served loyally in various callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his loving wife, Cathrine, three children Jason Richards (Cami), April Cook (Justin) of Rochester Hills, MI and Tenille Matos (Eddy) of Falls Church, VA, 9 grand children, his mother Lynne Pearce Richards, four brothers, and three sisters . Steven was preceded in death by his father John LaMar and his infant brother David.
A viewing will be held Friday, February 6, from 7-9 p.m. and funeral services will occur Saturday morning, 11 a.m. at the Midvale Union Park Stake Bldg, 7699 So. Chad St, Midvale, UT 84047. There will not be a public viewing on Saturday morning or graveside service following the funeral. A luncheon for family will immediately follow the funeral.
Steve loved animals, so in lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the Humane Society of Utah.

Steve was a good and honest worker at my parents (Martin) home. We talked a couple of times about our families and Skyline memories. From Beth M. Roberts
