David Handley died on Dec. 7th from cancer I visited him the last couple of months of his life and even a couple days before he died. He didn't have a service and was basically homeless after he got sick. He died at the sandy care center a state run facility.

While I did not know Dave, It is heartbreaking to hear about anybody in that situation, let alone one of our classmates. I agree with Steve Glick that we need to give when we can. God bless his soul. Mark Bult

Dave and I had classes together during our high school years....I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him as a very upbeat, friendly and outgoing guy. RIP Dave.

I have known Dave since grade school. He was a very kind person. No one should go that way. He is in a better place.

David Handley dying "alone and homeless" is haunting....terrible. I suppose most of us would consider that to be one of our worst fears in life. I can remember what T-shirt he wore everyday to school when we were classmates @ Canyon Rim. Strange how those insignificant details stay in one's mind for a lifetime. That is a very sad story. Thanks for letting us all know.

Dave was a good guy. I have lots of memories of him at Canyon Rim Elementary. He always had a smile for people. Sharing the same classes he is part of my playground memories. He will be missed at future reunions. Sharmon

David and I actually took piano lessons from the same teacher on Louise Avenue. He was very talented and practiced much harder than I did. I am sorry for his passing.

I too have known Dave since the Canyon Rim days. I have never known him but to be smiling, out going, and happy. It is very sad to hear that he was alone and nearly homeless when he passed away. My heart goes out to him and others that are in the same situation. I am a better person for having known and associated with him.

I just read Dave's profile. He accomplished a lot during his lifetime. He cared for 'crowds' of kids, developed a non-profit besides being an engineer and was writing a book. Ryan, I thank you for stepping in and being with Dave.

I remember Dave so clearly.....I work with the homeless and I wish that I could have helped him. Bless his heart. I pray that God welcomes Dave into His home of peace.
