He graduated from Skyline High School in 1972 and then attended LDS Business College. He married his first wife, Sharon, in 1973. They had two children together, Jason and Nicole. During the summer, he looked forward to taking his family to Lake Powell, where they spent endless days boating, water skiing, and creating memories. When he wasn't out on the lake, Tom enjoyed skiing, swimming, camping, and river rafting. At home, he was always relaxing with a good movie and spending time with his dogs - He loved and spoiled each and every one of them completely. Tom was also an accomplished carpenter and mechanic. Tom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2016. His last few years of life were spent at Riverway Assisted Living where he received wonderful, dedicated care. He was very fond of the staff members and he viewed them as friends more than anything else. In his last year of life, Tom was also cared for by Canyon Home Care & Hospice. He loved seeing his caretakers and his life was vastly improved by their kindness and loving care.
